Mullvad is a Sweden-based VPN provider whose applications are all open source. Mullvad does not require any personal data, including email, and payment via cryptocurrency is possible.
Installation¶
- Create an account — Mullvad
- Save the Account Number in Bitwarden.
- Top up your account. Payment via Monero is recommended.
Recommended servers¶
We recommend using Germany servers for the following reasons:
- Mullvad owns its servers in Germany (not rented)
- Germany has one of the best legal frameworks for personal data protection
- Germany is one of the central internet hubs, where many popular websites and application servers are located. This means that after connecting to VPN, access to desired websites will cause minimal additional latency.
