About Us

Purpose and Goals

Privacy and freedom of expression are fundamental human rights. We will help you preserve these rights.

The platform was created in response to laws restricting digital privacy and freedom of expression, which threaten our fundamental rights.

The FOI Security initiative was created by Giorgi Lubaretsi and is founded on the belief that protecting digital rights is one of the most important challenges of modern society. Our devices and data represent an extension of our personality and identity. Granting access to them to third parties is practically equivalent to granting access to our minds, which fundamentally contradicts the principles of personal freedom.

We have created a resource rich in practical, easy-to-follow guides for protecting your digital life. Whether it's encrypting communications or devices, or using secure passwords, our goal is to provide you with the knowledge to protect your personal data.

With this initiative, we strive to create an environment where digital technologies become not a tool of restriction, but a guarantor of freedom.

History

The project was born from the concern of activists and citizens about laws restricting digital privacy and freedom of expression. These laws grant governments unlimited access to personal data and authoritarian power over freedom of expression. In response to this problem, we started a series of seminars on digital security.

The seminars quickly gained popularity, which pushed us to create a more extensive and permanent resource. From this idea, this site was born — a living library of digital security practices that is constantly updated and evolving.

Project Supporters

The initiative was carried out with the support of Digital Defenders. The project is now independently managed and self-sustaining. As an open-source project, we do not accept donations, but we grow with the help of you, the community.

Whether it's sharing expertise, suggesting updates, improving code, or sharing the resource with others, your contribution will help us develop this resource and, consequently, our community's digital security.
